Yesterday, Today and Forever

As we experience the ups and downs of life, its tempting to believe things that may or may not be true about our circumstances. We can believe that yesterday was the best, that the past holds the best times of our lives and wish that today was more like yesterday. We can get caught up in the immediacy or the pain or the thrill of today and hope that things never change. We can look ahead to tomorrow and pray and wish with all our might that things change quickly, that life can only get better tomorrow. Isaiah offers an interesting solution to our tendency to live in one of these three realities- yesterday, today or tomorrow. He gives us a forever hope that can equip us to not only live in power wherever and whenever we are but can give us the deepest of peace and meaning in a vibrant relationship with God.
