Have We Learned Anything?
We all have people we admire- people we know/knew, people we wish we know, people we thought we knew. And its hard to know what to do, what to think, what to believe when those people fail. Fortunately, God hasn't called us to learn their lessons- he has called us to learn his lessons for us. So, in times of great tragedy, emotional distress, trauma, we need to look at Scripture to help us understand and to learn all that God is trying to teach us. We can accept his work in our lives and become everything he intends us to be if we will learn in his classroom. In this emotional look at the story of Eli from the story of 1 Samuel, we discover some very hard courses the Lord is conducting, but the question remains- have we learned anything?
