Remember To Not Forget

We are so quick to forget. We often can't remember yesterday much less 5, 10 or 20 years ago. For a lot of us its not that we don't remember its that we've chosen to forget yesterday because its too painful. We'd rather forget that try and remember. When it comes to talking to our children about our pasts, we often leave out the painful things or the mistakes we've made in an effort to protect them; at least, that's what we tell ourselves. But God wants us to remember our yesterdays- all of them! He wants us to set up memorials in our hearts and in our environments that remind us of everything that's been going on in our lives. And he wants us to share our stories with our children. More than that- he wants us to share our journey with Him with our children. Remember- don't forget your whole story and tell your kids about God's greatness through it all so we can all walk into tomorrow with faith and courage!
