More than Words: Miracle
We've come to use the word miracle for a lot of things, but it rarely means the truly supernatural any more. Most of the times we mean something that is very coincidental or something that should we never expected to happen. At Christmas, we use that word to describe the virgin birth of Christ, the star that shone over Bethlehem, or the angels appearing to the Shepherds. While these are all certainly miracle in and of themselves and we should praise God for each of them, are any of them individually or are they collectively THE miracle of Christmas? We must be careful that when we talk about the miracles around the Christmas season we don't miss THE miracle that changed history and changes hearts today.
