Living Passionately for God’s Glory- Holy Spirit Poured on Me
NO AUDIO AVAILABLE: There are many things in life that can lead me to live in fear. When I get afraid or feel threatened, I will start looking for some help, some source of power to overcome my fears, or something to distract me from my fears. Because we are wired to worship something, this fear and search for relief can drive me idolatry- to give my hope and life to something that promises some alternative to my present scary circumstances. God has promised to pour out his Spirit on our lives in order to keep us from idolatry and false hopes and powerless gods who only serve to pull us away from him and to use us up in the process. When I see my idols as ludicrous and powerless and impotent, I can truly worship the Lord and live daily in his power and freedom.
