Jesus Is...More Than You Think
It can be shocking when people aren't what we thought they were or how they presented themselves to us. We often present ourselves to other people with facades and masks on because we don't trust them or we don't trust ourselves, so we're not completely honest with others. This can also bleed over into our relationship with God. How often do we come to God with a mask on, feigning honesty yet maintaining insincerity in our hearts and missing all that Christ has in store for us? Philip brings Nathanael to Jesus and he has honest questions and doubts that he brings to Christ. Christ welcomes him with open arms, receives him, and offers to show him the deepest spiritual truths than Nathanael can imagine. Will we come to Christ with honesty, sincerely seeking truth and the deeper things of God?
