God Sent Christmas
There are many things that have been lost to history that are now shrouded in myth. There are other things that have risen from myth and purport to be historical. Bigfoot, Loch Ness monster, killer bees from Africa and their deadliness, the city of Atlantis.... For many people, God fits in a similar category. Whether he's real or not is almost inconsequential as the "search" for God and ensuing discussions have become the point. Finding God is not the point, and most people have given up hope of ever knowing God. Add to this the confusion of modern American spirituality and pop culture religion, and the darkness of the human heart due to sin, and there really isn't much hope that we will ever know God. In the midst of the hopelessness of knowing God when left to ourselves, God sent Jesus to reveal himself to us so we could know him, return to him and honor him. Its one of the great reasons we celebrate Christmas!
