From Believing Unbelief to Belief

If anyone in history has faced pressure from friends, family, strangers, admirers and haters to be something that he wasn't- to be someone that fulfills their perceptions about him- it has to be Christ. Everyone had(has!) an opinion about him and who he was supposed to be- a good man, a religious leader, a king, a teacher/ rabbi. But Christ had a plan: he would live life on God's timetable and accomplish what God had for him while not compromising who he really was. And he was relentless about challenging people with that- "Here is who I really am, here's what I really came to do. Now, what will you do with that?" Christ challenges us to know, love and follow him for who he was. he knows the impossibility of us ever doing this on our own, so he offers us the greatest hope and most difficult promise of them all- he'll change our will, desire and passions so that we will want God's will and can then know and love him. He's desperate for us to move from believing the wrong things about him and for us to believe the truth and have his life in us!
