Passion for the Christ
When you get ready for a big trip or an important event, you don't spend your time on trivial things. You prepare for everything- the big and the small- as it relates to your upcoming event. 6 days before Passover, and thus 6 days before his death/resurrection, Jesus got himself ready. And he did it in a way that seems somewhat curious to us- he was hanging out at a party with his friends! Why would he do that? He was with his friends- Mary, Martha and Lazarus- each of whom celebrated Jesus and prepared him for the week ahead in unique ways.
