Jesus Is...What You Seek
John has been clear about who Jesus is, the Jesus he wants us to get to know. He's brought John the Baptist into the picture to be a witness to this Jesus and now the Baptist has been clear about who Jesus is. Jesus has been described by the "Johns" as the Word, the Word become flesh, God in the flesh, the Light come to the darkness. As more and more people begin to interact with Jesus, we begin to get new insights into who he was. Christ looked into the hearts of his disciples, his earliest followers, and talked to them about what they most needed to hear. He challenged them to follow him the right way and for the right reasons. He changed their names and their destinies. For them and for all people in all times, he is what we seek. We must be honest with ourselves and with him and follow him in order to be like him- true disciples of Jesus Christ.
